He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Beaton and Doris Beaton (Carde); his wife Muriel A. Bailey; his grandson Steven Knapman; and his siblings, Jeannie Pfinder (Earl), Floyd "Buddy" Beaton, Harold "Pompy" Beaton and Joy Corkum (Dave).

He is survived by: his daughter Trudy Harrison; his stepdaughter Shelly Suzette Knapman (Fred); his grandchildren, Cody, Jeffery, Shauna, Krista, Katie, Courtney and Chelsea; his great grandchildren, Ellie and Carter; his siblings, Joyce Barkhouse (Gordon) and Billy Beaton (Eleanor); and his sister-in-law Devonna Beaton. He is also survived by step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
