With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George G. Matthews (Springhill, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 21, 2018 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Mattinson; and his brothers, Fraser "Butch", Bedford and Darrell. He is survived by: his parents, Chester Matthews and Evelyn Matthews (King); his significant other Barb Canton; his children, Sonny Matthews and Jess Colborne Amherst (Brian); his stepdaughters, Michelle Mattix (Ryan) and Dawn Doucet Lawrencetown (Steve); his grandchildren, Shelby, Chesley, Spencer, Molly, Charlie, Jordyn, Reegan, Sean, Brandan, Maddison and Kris; his sisters, Audrey MacDonald Springhill (Dennis), Jessie "Pinkie" Hunter (Danny) and Pugwash; and his great grandchildren, Cassia, Mason and Felix.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Springhill A.A. Hall, or the charity of your choice.
