She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gouchie and Florence Gouchie (Welch); her son Darrell O'Brien; her husband Gerald O'Brien; and her sister Shirley MacDonald.

She is survived by: her children, Gerry O'Brien (Lia), Sandra Ripley (Howard) and Susan Mullin of Moncton, NB; her siblings, Raymond Gouchie (Faye), William Gouchie (Kate) of Edmonton, Alberta and Marjorie Manzor (Ralph); her grandchildren, Stephanie, Justin, Jessica, Brandon and Kevin; and her great grandchildren, Colton and Sadie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and best friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor's memory may be made to the Mapleton Cemetery or a charity of choice.
