She was predeceased by: her former husband John Phalen; her significant other Douglas Arseneau; her daughter Arlene; her siblings, Jim and Dorothy; and her brother-in-law Nobby.
She is survived by: her parents, Oscar Goldrich and Jennie Goldrich (Mont); her children, Pat Phalen (Mary Lou) and Jennifer Boyce (Grant); her stepchildren, Douglas Arsineau (Nadia) and Marilyn LeBlanc; her son-in-law Burton Sarson; and her grandchildren, Jim (Alina), Phil (Julie), Melissa (Kevin), Lisa (Craig), Michael (Meghan), Joyce (Edward), Mike (Kathy), Peter (Linda) and Erika (Nic). She is also survived by her many great grandchildren, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Doreen's life will be held at a later date, however, if you wish to honour Doreen with a donation in her name, her charity of choice was the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choosing.
