He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Rector and Rita Rector (Pettigrew). He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Vincent Rector (Angela), Amanda Mills (Brian), Paul Rector (Kelly Hunter) and James (Brittany Garnson) of Annapolis Valley, NS; his grandchildren, John, Amber, Brittany, Abby-Lynn, Dawson, Lindsay, Krista, Jason and Kylee; his great grandchildren, Ella, Zoefia, Gabriella, Travis and Amelia; and his siblings, Eileen Rector (Brian McArthur), Lester Rector (Marg), Gary, Tim and Lou Rector. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
