He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Whittle and Liz Whittle; his son Barry; his brother Jimmy Whittle; and his stepson Todd Jewkes.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Matthew of Westville, Jennifer Meagher (Kallen) of Amherst and Tabatha Harrison-Michels (John) of Amherst; his stepson Brad Jewkes of Halifax; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Whittle, Nalia, Lyla Meagher, Callie Michels, Cory and Travis Jewkes; his stepgrandsons, Linchon and Noah Jewkes; and his sister Carolyn MacDonald of Springhill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
