It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Audrey Darlene Matthews of Springhill, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 14, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Audrey Darlene Matthews to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Matthews and Evelyn Matthews (King); her common-law partner Dennis Walsh; and her brothers, Bedford, Darrell, Butch and George.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Matthews, William MacDonald (Jennifer), Pauline Cooke (late Wayne Hoeg), Jeannie Nyitrai-Hacz (Peter) and Kelly MacDonald-Tucker (Tim); and her sister Jessie Hunter (Danny). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the A. H. Brown Funeral Home (5 McFarlane St, Springhill, NS B0M1X0). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
