She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Doucette and Kathleen Doucette (Harrison); her husband James; and her brothers, Harold, Phillip and Richard.
She is survived by: her children, Wilfred James Simon "Jimi", Serena Simon, Crystal Simon, Andrea Kingham, Philomena Simon, Roddie Gould and Caleb Goodall; and her siblings, Kathleen Dunlap, Joseph Doucette, Diana Doucette, Edna Goodall, Arthur Doucette, Annette Farewell and Rose Doucette. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, numerous godchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Violet may be made to the Diabetes Society of Canada.
