With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valerie Elizabeth Hirtle (Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia), born in Port Dufferin, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 7, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George McLellan and Bertha McLellan (Hughes); and her husband James. She is survived by: her children, Ron, Joanne, Norman, Lisa and Jennifer. She is also survived by spouses; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers; numerous nieces and nephews.
