She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie Legge; her son-in-law David; her grandson Nicholas; her great grandchild Gary (Marcelo); and her sister May Holley. She is also survived by son, and the light of Nan.
As a 40-year survivor of breast cancer, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
