Joan Lotti McDonald Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Lotti McDonald (Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 15, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Petersen and Louise Petersen (Chabot); her children, Karen McDonald, Joanne McDonald, Robert McDonald and Anne McDonald; her grandson Colby McDonald; her great grandchildren, Rylan McDonald and Pearl Julien-Reid; and her siblings, John, Ronnie and Barbara.

She is survived by: her family Joan; her children, Richard Petersen (Edna Palmer), Mary McDonald (David Nevin), Alexander McDonald (Donna Campbell), Sharon McDonald, Lisa McDonald, Michael McDonald (Naomi) and David McDonald; and her siblings, Carol Pini, Melvina (John), Louis Petersen (Debbie), Karl Petersen (Diane), Robert Petersen and Walter Petersen (Debra). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 16 Eagles Nest Avenue, Indian Brook, NS. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Kateri's Roman Catholic Church (509 Church St, Micmac, NS B0N1W0).
