He was predeceased by: his parents, James Newman and Winnifred Newman; his daughter Bonnie; his son-in-law Robert Ashley; and his siblings, Harry Taylor, Robert Newman, Ruth Isenor, Laura Castle, Helen Castle and Ferne Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, Jo-Ann Spicer (Floyd), Glenda Roberts (Derek), Curtis, Jim (Danita) and Paul (Janice); his son-in-law John Ashley; and his siblings, Glen Newman, June Isenor and Joyce Miller. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
