He was predeceased by: his parent Freeman Knockwood; his former wives, Bertha and Kathy; his daughter Mae Ann; and his siblings, Peter and Ralph.

He is survived by: his parent Ann-Mary Knockwood; his wife Michelle; his children, Bernie (Jean), Carol Ann (Bill Green), Allan, Joey Morris, Bert and Glenn (Tania); and his stepchildren, Lucille (Fahad) and Gilles (Sarah). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
