He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Wier and Dorothy Wier (Laffin); and his granddaughter Nancy. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sons, Wilfred (Marie), David and Carl (Joanne); his grandchildren, Jason, Glen, Devin, Derek, Nick and Doug; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Casey, Zoey and Rachel; and his siblings, Jamie and Vera. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donald may be made to Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
