He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Friz and Marie Friz. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Dodsworth; his son Bernhard; his sister Inge Buehrer (Rolf); and his sister-in-law Trudy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
