He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick (Ted) and Annie (Walsh); his son Rusty; and his siblings, Robert, Leonard, Ralph, Leo and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine (Jordan) of Smithfield; his children, Heather of Truro and Jeff (Gaile) of Glenelg; his grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) of St. Peter's, Elaina Smith (Jesse) of Airdrie and Todd (Amanda) of Fort McMurray; his great grandchildren, Anna (Annie), Kayla, Marley (Marla), Asher and Dawson; and his sister Sheila Veinotte (Melvin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
