It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alexander Walter Playfair of Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia, born in Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away on April 27, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Playfair and Lena Playfair (Hill); his sister Georgina Syryda (Victor); and his brothers-in-law, Leo Schaaf and Gordon Cook.
He is survived by: his sons, Jamie (Tonya) and Steven (Cherie); his wife Barbara May Cook; his son Petersburg; his sister Gloria (Schaaf); his grandchildren, Caitlin, Jason, Brandon, Nicole and Ryan; his great grandchild Taylor; and his siblings-in-law, Wendy Cook, Kelly Kaiser (Ronald), Owen Cook (MaryAnne) and Mike Cooke (Inge). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
