He was predeceased by: his father Murray Stewart; his children, Felicia Stewart and Gordon Ozon; his father-in-law Nathan Buchanan; his brother John Stewart; and his brother-in-law James Buchanan.

He is survived by: his mother Elaine Stewart (Atwood) of Shelburne; his wife Lori (Buchanan); his son Tyler Stewart (Emma Poole); his grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Aiden, Austin, Aubrey, Ava, Asher Stewart and Taylon Ozon; his sisters, Anne Hushard (Kevin) and Linda Wamboldt (Wayne); his sister-in-law Susan; and his mother-in-law Joyce Buchanan.
