She was predeceased by: her husband William Byron Peterson; her children, William (Billy) and Barbara (Hiltz); and her sons-in-law, Cecil Garland and David Blades (James Marsh).
She is survived by: her children, Irene Thorburn (Lawrence), Sandy Point, Linda Peterson-Blades, Susan Gohier (Raymond) and Ricky Jordan Branch (Cindy); and her grandchildren, Joey, Shirley, Wayne, Michael, James, Amanda, Cory, Tanya, Tamara, Christopher and Nicole.
Memorial donations in Shirley's name may be made to Shelburne United Church which will be accepted at the funeral home.
