He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Balkam and Doris Balkam; and his sisters, Barbara, Mabel, Sarah, Shirley and Betty Lou.
He is survived by: his nieces, Christina (Wally), Kimberly, Barbie and Tiffany; and his brothers, Victor, Bradford, Donald and Edward. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
