He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Nickerson and Amelia Nickerson (Penney); his wife Gloria Nickerson; his sister Helen Penney; his brother-in-law Vernon Penney; and his grandson-in-law Bill Baker.
He is survived by: his daughter Gloria; his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Terry; his children, Herbie Nickerson (Debbie) of Newellton and Deane Symonds (Ivan); and his grandchildren, Coady Nickerson (Cynthia), Jillian Crowell, Cara Duncanson (Jordan), Susann d'Entremont (Armand), Kattie Symonds, Janaya Nickerson and Josh Nickerson.
