It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Laura Acker of Shelburne, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband George H Acker; her close friend Olive Mae Ethier; her parents, Reginald Bower and Laura Bower; and her brothers, Alvin, George, Wilbert, Maurice, Richard and Bruce.

She is survived by: her children, Anne, Helen Jordan Falls (Arnold), Bonnie Port La (Robert), Patti Jordan Bay (Martin), Willie Sandy Point (Angie), Lew Shelburne (Barb), Jamie Dartmouth (Suzanne) and Nikki Halifax; and her sister Silvie Peterson. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
