She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Locke and Laura Locke (MacLean); her husband Leslie Whitman; her siblings, Alvin, Mervin, Austin, Elvie Smyth, Kathleen Kirkey and Alma Wilson; her half-sister Josie Bower; and her sister-in-law Marie Acker Crowe.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Acker, Birchtown, Carole Davis (George), Irene Baker (Billy), Harbour and Rose Miller (Thelbert); her grandchildren, Murray (Rhonda), Laura (Cory), Katie (Josh) and Bill (Jillian); her great grandchildren, Ethan, Eric, Alex, Christopher, Willow and Harrison; her great-nephew Sheldon; her niece Skyla; and her siblings-in-law, Doreen Myers (James) and Evan Crowe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
