He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Hemeon and Grace Hemeon (Buchanan); his wife Pearl Hemeon (Hamilton); his children, Chris (Julie) and Donna (Arnold); his brother Gary (Judy); his grandchildren, Trenton, Andrew, Codi and Brendan; his daughter Shelley; and his brothers, Gerald, Roger, Clyde, Eugene, Philip, Terry and Kenneth. He was also cherished by 6 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Grace Baptist Church.
