He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashley Brannen and Edith Brannen (Brown); his wife Muriel Brannen (Arenburg); his stepsons, Harry Bradley and David Hill; his siblings, Sidney, David, Freeman, Douglas and Frances; and his nephew Douglas Arenburg.

He is survived by: his son Darrell (Bonnie); his stepson James Bradley; his grandson Justin; and his siblings, Henry, Alfred, Annie Penny and Alene Cottreau (Victor).
