She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Muise (Saulnier) and James Muise; her significant other Sonny Nickerson (Gordon); and her son Scott Nickerson. She is survived by: her children, Jeanette Nickerson (Robin Robart), Murray Nickerson (Kathy Shand), Gerald Nickerson (Tom), Daniel Vantrease, John Vantrease and Gordon Nickerson; and her siblings, Carol Bower, Lydia Dixon, John Muise, Gary Muise and Rene Doucette. She is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Donations in her memory may be made to Sou' West Nova transit, as she thought of the team like her family.
