He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Grandy Irwin and Katherine Bruce Irwin of Shelburne; his daughters, Joan and Janet; his brother Bruce Irwin; and his sister-in-law Frances.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon MacDonald Irwin; his daughters, Mary Hippern (Mike) of Bedford, NS and Heather Irwin of Middle Sackville, NS; his grandsons, Mitchell and Scott of Bedford; his nephew Robert Irwin; and his niece Nancy Sievert. He is also survived by grand nieces and nephews.
