She was predeceased by: her parents, Chesley Hanson and Goldie Gertrude Penney; her stepfather Owen Symonds (Offie); her siblings, Melba Goodwin, Leslie Penney, Gary Penney and Clayton Penney; and her niece Angie Penney.
She is survived by: her husband Harris Reginald; her children, Chett Buchanan (Lisa), Clay Buchanan (Marie), Alberta and Bobbi-Ann Muise (Wayne); her grandchildren, Alex, Brianna, Bryan, Tammy, Mary, Jacinta and Michael; and her siblings, Parnell Goodwin (Frank), Rosemary Kaiser (Calvin), Tony Penney (Debbie) and Roxanne Hallett (Tommy). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Huskilson's Funeral Home (58 Bulkley St, Shelburne, NS B0T1W0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Huskilson's Funeral Chapel (58 Bulkley St, Shelburne, NS B0T1W0).
