He was predeceased by: his parent Frank "Pete". He is survived by: his parent Evelyn Hartley (Jacklyn); his wife Pauline (Poulin); his children, James (Nicola), Davie (Lucinda), Diana (Lawrence) and Lynn (Trent); his siblings, Elizabeth Johns and Barbara Falk (Hank); his grandchildren, Brandy, Xavier, Bryce, Brogan, Bronson and Jayden; and his brothers, Stanley Hartley and Frank Hartley.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
