She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Benight and Margaret Benight (Murphy); and her siblings, Roy and Grace. She is survived by: her sons, Glen "Skip" (Marie), Point, Mark (Sarah), Scott (Jacqueline) and Cove; her siblings, Percy (Linda) and Doreen; her grandchildren, Kristen, Shelden, Miranda and Jack; and also Kathy Battiste (Bob). She is also survived by one great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the S.P.C.A. or the Speech and Hearing Association of Nova Scotia.
