It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James V. MacKay (Scotsburn, Nova Scotia), who passed away on December 2, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James MacKay and Sarah MacKay (Hatch); his wife Jean MacKay (Quinn); his grandson Craig Chenell; his son-in-law Glenn Chenell; and his brother Charlie MacKay.
He is survived by: his children, Danny (Shirley), Elizabeth Chenell, Janice Chadwick (David), Beverley Chisholm (George) and Heather Hayward (Jim); his grandchildren, Kevin MacKay (Caroline), Melissa Friel (Eric), Ashley Ketch (Jason), Michael Chenell, Mark Chenell (Jen), Kurt Chadwick (Tove), Kelly Chisholm-MacDonald (Peter), Greg Chisholm (Dove), Kali D'Amours (Chris), Steven Hayward, Sally Hayward and Amy Jones (Mike); his great grandchildren, Connor Chenell, Claire, Emily, Leah Friel, Elijah, Chloe Chadwick, Cameron, Natalie Ketch, Catherine, Erica MacKay, Finn, Walt Chadwick, Lewis, Nora MacDonald, Ashton, Brody and Caleb Chisholm; and his friend Marie MacCrae.
In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the IWK Health Centre, the Scotsburn United Church or a charity of one's choice.
