He was predeceased by: his parents, George MacLeod and Gertrude MacLeod (MacKenzie); and his brothers, Jim and Ivan. He is survived by: his wife Janet (MacLean); his children, Rob (Stacey) and Gail (Chris); his grandchildren, Jami, Cassie, Robert and Ian; and his sisters, Evelyn Fraser and Elna Innis (Richard). He is also survived by in-laws and nieces and nephews.
