He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas and Kathleen (Holt); and his brother-in-law Bill MacKay. He is survived by: his wife Alison McCara; his children, James Alexander and Catherine Elizabeth; his siblings, Sandra MacKay, Marilyn Heighton (Keith), Barry (Nancy) and David (Ann Marie); his sister-in-law Linda Munro; and his uncle Earl Holt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
