He was predeceased by: his parents, Christena Forward (MacNeil) and Henry Forward; his daughter Mattie Elaine Falconer; his great grandchild Hank Reid; his siblings, Annie MacPherson, Fannie Howell, Liz Budge and John MacNeil; his parents-in-law, Lloyd and Mattie Redmond; and his brother-in-law Donnie Redmond.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Forward; his children, Laurie Forward (Mark) of Dartmouth, Beryl Reid (Rickey) of New Glasgow, Maureen (John), Green Hill, Tammy Langille (Darren) of River John, Hank Forward of River John, Jason Forward (Sarah) of West Branch and Trina Spaulding (James) of Stellarton; his son-in-law Fred Falconer of Melville; and his sisters-in-law, Beryl Swallow (Bill) of River John, Maurita MacLeod (Bill) of New Glasgow, Arlene Lane of Riverglade and Joan Redmond of River John. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
