It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gardner Payne Hurley of River Hebert, Nova Scotia, born in Maccan, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 5, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gardner Sr. Hurley and Mary Hurley (Allen); his wife Phyllis Hurley (Landry); and his sisters, Alma "Tis" St. Peter and Inez Primmer.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel (Trudy) of Trenton, NS, Terrance (Charlene Smith), Robert (Marlene Thomas), Deborah Emslie (Ricky) and Catherine Collins (Dara); his grandchildren, Candy, Jessica, Christopher, Lacee, Heather, Chelsey, Dayne and Megan; his great grandchildren, Allie, Brook Lyn, Erica, Emily, Cohen, Archer, Fionn, Aevelyn, Kinley and Ayla; and his siblings, Anna MacLellan and Gary Hurley (Jean).
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Gardner's memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre Foundation or a charity of your choice.
