He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Patterson and Caroline Patterson (Batstone) of Linden; and his brothers, Hiel, Cecil, Doug, Ernest and Gerald.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his children, Carol MacDonald (Bill) of Mississauga, ON, Ruth Tuttle (Ian) of Middleboro, NS, Stephen Patterson of Halifax and Mark Patterson (Joanne) of Warkworth, ON; his grandchildren, Timothy Tuttle (Katherine), Stephanie Tuttle, Hannah Tuttle and Nicole MacDonald; his sister Marjorie Harvey (Roy); and his sister-in-law Shirley Patterson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the East Cumberland Lodge or a mission or charity of choice.
