He was predeceased by: his parent James Pye; his children-in-law, Graham Ernst, Leonard Moore and Marni Pye; and his siblings, Cecilia Joudrey, Peter, Earl, Tom, Christopher, John, Joseph, Leo and Charles.

He is survived by: his parent Florence Pye (Hanrahan); his wife Pansy Pye (Robinson); his children, Vivian Ernst, Dartmouth Moore, Lorna Moore, Andrew Pye (Yuliana) of Pugwash and Vincent Pye (Angela Stewart) of Pugwash; his siblings, Theresa Gray and Gordon Pye of West Pugwash; and also Oakville.
