She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus James and Edith Johnson (Wardale); her husband Gerald Francis Gayton; her grandson James; and her sister Dorothy Rose.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael (Eva), Dieppe and Peter (Beryl). She is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one niece.
