He was predeceased by: his parents, Lafyette James and Elsie Fahey (Moore); his wife Pauline Joyce Fahey (Nickerson); and his siblings, Dorothy Dobson, Vera Mayne, Bernice Trenholm, John Fahey, Eddie King and Ronnie King.

He is survived by: his children, Paul (Shelley) of Port Howe, Larry (Wanda) of Fountain Road, Dwayne of Moncton, Darrell of Middleboro, Stephanie Fahey of Hardisty, Alberta and Julie Rushton (Gary) of Gulf Shore; his grandchildren, Loralee Sonier (Peter) of Amherst, David Fahey of Springhill, Bailey Rushton of Truro and Kailey Rushton of Gulf Shore; and his half-sisters, Marci Mattinson and Brenda Price. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
