He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merle McCormick and Frances Thurston; his grandparents, Bud and Ethel Barton; his wife Shirley Bennett; his children, Lindsay (Tyler), Bradley (Melissa), Samantha (Izea), Jocelyn, Rocky, Jeffrey, Tessa and Damian; and his sister Ethel Thurston. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren.
