Walter Thomas Bateman Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2019, at the age of 75, Walter Thomas Bateman (Porters Lake, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Bateman (Munden) and James Bateman; his foster parents, Ernest Harrris and Classie Harrris; and his sisters, Loretta Bateman and Lydia Prosser.

He is survived by: his wife Meta (Meade); his children, Pam Safire (Doyle) and Corey Bateman (Jodi); his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Reagan Safire; his siblings, Cliff Bateman (Janet), Junior Bateman (Edna), Dorman Bateman (Geraldine), Richard Bateman (Ann), Chester Harris (Norma), Clayton Harris (Blanche), John Harris (Cynthia), Maggie Meade (Terry), Marilyn Northcott (Brian), Viola Parsons (Paul), Pauline Anderson (Stan) and Liz Meade (Ken); and his brother-in-law Charlie Prosser.
