He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, June MacDonald and George Kidney; his wife Catherine Kidney (Heighton); his daughters, Catherine De Jong (Todd), Tanya Kidney (Keay Roma) and Linda Hunt (Cory); his goddaughter Shannon Carr; his siblings, Linda Wiley (Gary), Jacqueline Lawlor (Patrick), David Gibbs (Donna), Carolyn Barnett and Marion MacDonald; his grandchildren, Todd (TJ), Brett, Kyle, Bailey and Brayden; his great grandchild Owen; his uncle George; and his aunts, Marion Cranidge and Patsy Vaughan. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NS and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
