He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" (Sawler); his children, Laura Walsh (Robert), Kim Mason (Mike) and Michael Messem (Brandy); his grandchildren, Owen Caborn, Alexandra Messem, Tyra, Keana Walsh, Kate and Zack Mason; his sister Ruth Arenburg; and his pet Bailey.
