She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Messem and Ethel Messem (Grant); her brother David Messem; her half-sister Shirley LaChance (Jim); her nephew Christopher Arenburg; and her great-niece Karen Messem.
She is survived by: her husband Stuart Griffin; her children, Adam Griffin, Belinda Griffin (Jason Strickland), Bethlyn Hird (Trevor) and Aldershot; her siblings, James "Jim" Messem (Pat), Ruth Arenburg, Sharon Hubley and Greenwich; her sister-in-law Mary Lou Messem; and her grandchildren, Elliot, Aurora and Grace. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory may be made to the Port Williams United Baptist Church or the Port Williams Volunteer Fire Department.
