He was predeceased by: his parents, William Upton and Mary Jane Upton (Perry); his wife Eva; his son Cory; his son-in-law Dale; and his siblings, Margie, Anna, John, Katherine and Rosetta.

He is survived by: his children, Heather Hubley, Tammy Upton, Anne Muise (Randy), Joseph (Debbie), Springdale, Gary (Lorie), Beaver River and Mike; his close friend Robert Smith; and his siblings, Douglas (Frances) and Theresa (Murray). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
