He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Lewis and Annabelle MacDonald; and his brother Allan. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Port Hood (MacEachen); his children, Rosalie (B. C.), Donia (N. L.), Nathan (Ont), Nicholas (Christopher) and Dubai; his grandsons, Rafael and Matthew; and his siblings, Flora McLaughlin of Medford, Mass., Margie Holder (Cliff), Morag Graham, Lewis, Graeme (Lynn) and Donald Andrew (Imelda). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
