It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Bona (Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia), born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 7, 2020, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Elsie (Burkey) and Francis A. Smith; her sister Claudine Homer; her siblings-in-law, Gerry Homer, Wayne Rogers and Margaret Bona; and her parents-in-law, Sophie Beatrice and Fred C. Bona.
She is survived by: her husband Donald; her children, Leigh Anne Thompson (Stuart) of Lower Sackville and Derrick (Angie) of Eastern Passage; her grandchildren, Reece, Hannah, Samantha and Andrew; her brother Wayne Berthier (Glynnis) of Bedford; and her siblings-in-law, Stanley Bona (Michelle), David Bona (Gladys), Billy Bona, Anne Landry (Danny), Hazel Pottie (Glen) and Madeline Nobrega (Joe).
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Celebration of Life and burial will take place at a later date.
