She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie C Olsen (MacKinnon) and Alfred Olsen; her husband Fred; and her siblings, Betty Malcolm, Oscar Olsen (Gloria LeBlanc) and Jean Amos (Vernon).
She is survived by: her children, Susan (Bruce Schnarr) of Point Tupper, Patti Robertson (Scott) of Point Tupper, Lunenburg of Point Tupper, Bonnie of Point Tupper, Tanya MacLean (Craig) of Point Tupper, Betty and Halifax; her grandchildren, Leah, Andrew and Owen; her siblings, Rena MacPhail (late Gordon), Murdoch Olsen (Marguerite) and Roy Olsen (late Kay); and her nephews, Steve and Dave Malcolm. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in memory of Marie may be made to Camp Cairdeas Maintenance Fund, Point Tupper Historical Society or Cathy's Place in Antigonish.
