It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Mary MacDonald (Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia), born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 5, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Arthur "Gus" MacLean and Florence MacDonald; her husband Allan Donald "A. D."; her brother Sandy; and her siblings-in-law, Albert MacDonald (Cecelia MacDonald), Margaret Visser (late Ted) and Catherine Bannister (late Ernie).
She is survived by: her uncle Cove; her sons, Wayne (Sandra) and Jamie (Eileen); her grandchildren, Cyndal, Fort MacMurray, Cody and Travis; her brother Reg MacLean (Beverly); her nephews, Gary MacLean and Kenny MacDonald; and her siblings-in-law, Jeanette MacDonald (late Albert), Katie Ellen Nedder (late Charlie), Connecticut, Donald Roddie (Sylvia) of Judique, Billy (Monica) of Judique, Harold (Coleen) of Judique, Joe (Elain) of Judique and Allan Ian.
Due to the current COVID restrictions, there will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Parish Capital Fund, Port Hawkesbury.
