It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Laura (Gillis) Thompson Paul Martell (Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 10, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Harold "Harry"; her husband Gordon; her sisters, Edith Bowe and Jean Wilson; and her brothers-in-law, Vincent Bowe and Duncan Wilson.
She is survived by: her mother Filomena Gillis (Vuozzo); her children, Barry (Denise) and Cathy MacRae (Rocky); and her grandchildren, David MacRae, Craig MacRae (Andrea) and Hayley Thompson. She is also survived by Mom leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Social distancing and masks are a requirement for both occasions.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Laura can be made to the following organizations; Sherbrooke Cemetery Fund, Alzheimer's Society of Canada, and the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home.
